About the Doctor
Dr. Robert J. Gange, a native of Hartford, CT, has been in the private practice of orthodontics in Windsor and Vernon, CT for over 30 years. After attending John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, he received his dental and orthodontic training at Case Western Reserve University. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest distinction achievable in the specialty of orthodontics currently held by only 25 percent of orthodontists who seek this additional evaluation and testing of their clinical skills. In addition to his private practice, he is a clinical professor in the orthodontic department at the University of Connecticut, as well as an orthodontic instructor for the Hartford Hospital General Residency Program. He has lectured at many orthodontic meetings, published several articles on orthodontics in various professional journals and is an active member of the Central Connecticut Orthodontic Study Group.
Dr. Gange has been recognized every year in both Connecticut and Hartford magazines “Annual Top Dentists Issues”, and was the featured orthodontist in the December 2008 issue of Hartford magazine.
He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, American Board of Orthodontics and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. He also serves as a research consultant for a major orthodontic materials company.
Dr. Gange has been active in several civic organizations including the Windsor Jaycees, and has chaired the Windsor Shad Derby three times. He has received the Windsor Chamber of Commerce Hallas Award for community service. He currently serves on the Windsor Youth Commission, where he was instrumental in helping the youth of Windsor establish it first skateboard park. He and his wife have two children, and in his spare time he enjoys boating, salt-water fishing, and swimming.
